Our pure oregano oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the oregano plant, and is dark brown in color. The aroma of the oil is very pungent and herbaceous and as such essential oil of oregano is not commonly used for its odor, but is well known for having very powerful healing properties.

Oregano essential oil is high in carvacol and thymol content which have been shown to be a very effective anti-fungal remedy and is frequently used for skin care. Its anti-inflammatory properties mean that it is commonly used to treat joint pain and arthritis.
